FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is animation?
Animation is an umbrella term for a variety of techniques. Of these techniques, thanks to Walt Disney, animated cartoons are the most famous. For many it is synonymous to animated cartoons. There are also animations made with puppets, sand, objects, clay or computer, in two and three dimensional techniques. There are various mixtures imaginable. All animation techniques have one aspect in common. The film is made frame by frame, resulting in a long series of still pictures, each slightly different. If these successive images are projected, we see movement.

How much is an animation?
Because of the large number of different aspects within an animation, it is difficult to charge a fixed price for an animation. For many customers, it is incomprehensible why there are price differences, or why an animation is `so expensive`. The price structure is actually easy to explain. The more time it takes to produce, the higher the price is.
